TRPO extraction agent is liquid phosphine oxide. It is used for extracting organic and inorganic solute from aqueous solution such as extracting carboxylic acid from liquid waste, removing Arsenic from copper-electrolytic liquid and so on.

Compared with similar extraction agent like TOPO, the advantages of TRPO are: complete mutual solubility with common hydrocarbon diluent even in low temperatures; useful for extracting solutes such as acetic acid often hard to extract due to its high solubility, concentration and stable organic phase.
